How I used AI...

... To Build a Custom Homeschool Math Curriculum for my 2nd Grader

In today’s world of digital noise and endless demands, homeschool parents wear more hats than ever. We’re not just educators—we’re curriculum designers, budget analysts, meal planners, spiritual guides, and motivational speakers before breakfast.

But what if you could outsource just one hat…without ever giving up your crown?

That’s where ChatGPT steps in—not as a replacement for your wisdom, but as a partner in your mission.

🧠 Your New Teaching Assistant, On-Demand

Whether you’re building a full year’s curriculum or just trying to survive next Monday’s lesson, ChatGPT offers a quick, customizable, and cost-free way to map out your child’s learning.

Within seconds, you can ask:

  • “Create a week’s worth of 2nd-grade math assignments.”

  • “Design a Bible-integrated history unit for 6th grade.”

  • “Help me explain photosynthesis to a 10-year-old using visuals and analogies.

And it responds with detailed lessons, project ideas, review quizzes, and even scripts for how to teach the concepts—all tailored to the style you request.

💼 Curriculum Meets Kingdom

As a homeschool dad of six, my life is a blend of spreadsheets and scripture. I don’t have time to reinvent the wheel each week—but I also refuse to settle for cookie-cutter content that doesn’t reflect our family’s values.

With ChatGPT, I get the best of both worlds:

  • Personalized curriculum that aligns with my kids’ learning pace

  • Faith-friendly prompts that bring spiritual depth into any subject

  • Efficient planning so I can focus more on discipleship than design

It’s not about doing less—it’s about doing more of what matters.

⚙️ Empowerment Over Replacement

Let’s set the record straight—AI won’t replace good parenting, strong teaching, or Spirit-led guidance. What it will do is:

  • Save hours of prep time

  • Spark creativity when you’re running on empty

  • Help you scaffold learning for multiple kids at once

  • Build confidence in first-time homeschoolers

In other words: it extends your reach without watering down your role.

Backtesting Visa ($V) Rolling 4s Long Term Options Strateg

Long Term Visa ($V) (Rolling 4s) Play April 2017 – September 2020   Back again with another breakdown of some back testing I did on Visa ($V) with a LEAP option. LEAP options are 1-2 year plays using the Excel pricing sheet created by Mark Monroe to select the strike price.  This back test starts in April 2017.    I selected Visa because for this back test since I have been watching it recently. As we are going to a cashless society most transactions in the world are done with a debit/credit card. The biggest players in that space are Visa and Mastercard. So the companies are not going anywhere.   Check out my video commentary on Youtube:  Visa Rolling 4s Back Test Part 1- https://youtu.be/g8OyUKmttuU   Visa Rolling 4s Back Test Part 2 -  https://youtu.be/8gfJV5zsglE   Setup:  Bought Visa when the it bounced up off a key support/EMA (typically 20ema or 50ema) or even breakout price actions.  Looking to invest r...

Backtesting NVDA (Rolling 4s Long Term Options Strategy)

Long Term NVDA (Rolling 4s) Play September 2017 – September 2020   Back again with another breakdown of some back testing I did on playing NVDA with a LEAP option. LEAP options are 1-2 year plays using the Excel pricing sheet created by Mark Monroe to select the strike price.  This back test starts in September 2017.    This one was a bit tough for multiple reasons, but I have never followed NVDA so this is really organic going back to 2017. I tried to play this setup as if I was in real time regardless of what the price is now. And as you will see in the charts what the stock did would not have been beneficial for some plays to continue to hold.    Setup: Bought NVDA when the it bounced up off a key support/EMA (typically 20ema or 50ema) and a bounce up as the EFT was up trending.  Looking to invest roughly $10,000 or less each quarter. No rolling options…simply exiting and entering new trade.   Entries & Exits:   1. ...
